FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below the main questions and answers useful to dispel your main doubts. If you do not find the answer to your specific question, do not hesitate to ask.
Our company is a sole proprietorship based in the Canton of St. Gallen (Switzerland).
No. As a non-European company, our
invoices are issued VAT-exempt. This means that VAT is not
due to us (7.7%) nor to your self-invoicing (according to
the VAT rate of your country). The invoice is totally exempt
from VAT. Even for Swiss companies and individuals the 7.7%
VAT is not due, according to the Swiss tax law applicable to
us.
For completeness, we don't even have a VAT number.
Absolutely no. Switzerland is a member of the OECD, is indirectly part of the EEA (European Economic Area) on the basis of countless bilateral signed treaties, adheres to the Schengen Convention and has been removed from any Black List. There is no prejudice or problem that prevents any entity, natural or legal person, from relating economically with a Swiss company.
For obvious reasons of confidentiality and protection of our Clients we would never reveal cases neither previous experiences, nor we would use the name of any Client to boast, advertise, refer to us or sell us to others. With regards to the titles, the owner has had experience in the sector for over 15 years and, very importantly, he does NOT come from any law enforcement! Who takes years to resolve an investigation with the phlegm that he’ll have his salary at the end of the month anyway, that’s not such a great reference.
The owner previously owned it in Italy.
Once the head office was transferred to Switzerland, the
Italian license was returned.
In Switzerland, in the Canton of St. Gallen, the current law
provisions do not provide for licenses to carry out private
investigations.
100% valid. Each person is free to hire
the investigator he/she prefers. Therefore he/she can also
hire an investigator outside the Canton or abroad.
Additionally, according to the European treaty on the free
movement of goods, persons and forerunners in Europe, the
work of foreign or national entities is equated.
It goes without saying that every state, every Court and
every Judge has its own thought and interprets in its own
way. The acceptance or otherwise of our evidence (as of any
other agency) remains always and in any case at the
discretion of the Court. We take no responsibility for this.
Unfortunately not. We are a small agency
and for us it represents a waste of time for a zero profit
to attend a Court to repeat what has already been reported
and testified in the report provided to the client.
Furthermore, we should travel throughout all Switzerland and
Italy to respond to such requests.
For Switzerland as for Italy, this need is almost never
necessary, however, speaking of Italy, there are specific
and explicit judgments that elect the evidence provided by
the private investigator like a testimony, without the need
to be heard by the Judge.
Absolutely yes. As explained in the contact page, we'll reach you at your office, at your private address, at a bar or a restaurant or at your lawyer's studio. Contact us by email or by phone in order to arrange an appointment.
First of all, make sure you enter the
email address correctly (you can copy and paste our email
address from our website). Then, check your junk email
folder just in case our email got delivered there instead of
your inbox. Finally, wait at least 48 hours; sometimes the
amount of commitments delays our office activity.
If the problem persists, please contact us by phone or
otherwise to resolve.
We send it by email. About when, it depends on your specific case and on the timing of your investigation.
